Individual Therapy

Individual therapy can be an intense and incredibly rewarding process. My goal is to offer a therapy experience that fits your goals and lifestyle. Whether you are looking for long-term or ongoing support through a therapeutic relationship or need to resolve an issue quickly and efficiently, I can help! See below to learn more about "traditional" and "intensive" therapy options.

Therapy differs from coaching in focus, approach, and expected outcomes. In therapy, we will be addressing symptoms of mental health disorders by targeting the biological, developmental, and social influences that contribute to mental health symptoms and other difficulties. Therapy may explore underlying beliefs and experiences that increase distress in the body and mind.

"Traditional" Therapy

My version of a "traditional" therapy approach consists of regular (weekly or bi-weekly) 55 minute sessions in office or virtually. Sessions may be a combination of "talk therapy" and EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing). The focus, approach, and progress through sessions will depend entirely on your preference and needs for therapy.

Intensive Therapy

Intensive therapy options are for individuals who would like to rapidly address and resolve symptoms. Intensive therapy sessions can range from 3 to 6 hours depending on the purpose and goals of the session. The therapist will identify the appropriate and expected length of time required to safely and effectively target the presenting problem and work together with the client to determine if the plan aligns with their goals and needs. Intensive therapy, like all therapy options offered, is client-driven and may be adapted prior or during session based on client preference, comfort, safety, and need. Intensive therapy is offered in-person only.

Intensive Sessions are billed at $235/hr. Why are they more per hour than a standard session? Intensive therapy sessions allow for more efficient and effective reprocessing. A single intensive session could achieve results that typically occur over weeks or months of standard 50-minute sessions of therapy. Intensives demand more preparation and effort on the clinician's behalf to safely and efficiently achieve the desired results.

Intensives may be scheduled in single session, weekend, week-long, or intermittent blocks. Structure and scheduling will depend on the client's needs, goals, and personal preference.
